Blanco Coalition on Awareness, Prevention, and Treatment of Substance Use (CoAPT) is a community coalition funded by a Drug Free Communities Grant. CoAPT works on prevention efforts at Blanco ISD. Our vision is to keep Blanco youth healthy and drug/alcohol free. Our two goals are to reduce youth substance use and increase community collaboration through environmental and system level changes. We are made of all different community members from School, parents, youth serving agencies, law enforcement, students, media, faith-based organizations, healthcare, substance use agencies, civil partners, local business, and local government We focus on the overall health of our students by providing health education in school and community, developing relationships with community agencies, and connecting families to resources in the community. We provide support and education to school staff, community members, and students. See current activities below.
