Welcome Back to School

BISD Families,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!!! Teachers and staff have been hard at work getting ready for
an awesome school year. We are all excited to get started and look forward to the arrival of our
students on Tuesday.

This summer, the BISD staff reviewed all safety and security measures and conducted several audits to
identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement. Every exterior door in the district has
been inspected to ensure proper functionality. All processes and procedures related to our Emergency
Operations Plan (EOP) were scrutinized to provide consistent safety standards and guidance throughout
the district. Our School Resource Officer will continue to be a presence on campus, as well as provide
guidance with training and procedures. Finally, all visitors will be required to enter school facilities
through the main entrance. Please be prepared to show proper ID and receive a badge that identifies
you and your intended destination.

As we begin this school year, I want to thank you again for your support of our recent bond election.
We are excited about the changes that will occur for the benefit of our students. Many of the projects
are in the design phase and construction will begin soon. Please be patient with us during this time of
growth. The completion of all projects will continue for almost three years.

We know how important community partnerships are to the success of our school district. We
encourage all community members to get involved with our great students and staff. You are always
welcome to volunteer, be on a committee, or just support our great students at various activities. If you
are wondering how you can get more involved, please contact any campus or our central office.
