Health Insurance Information

Blanco ISD’s Annual Open Enrollment will be held July 9, 2019 through August 15, 2019

Due to the Affordable Care Act, all employees are required to complete the enrollment process.

What does that mean to you?

  • I don’t want to make any changes.  You must enroll through THEbenefitsHUB online system.
  • I want to make changes.  You must enroll through THEbenefitsHUB online system.
  • I do not want any insurance.  You must decline through THEbenefitsHUB online system.

Important Items to Note:

TRS has announced a statewide increase in premiums and changes to some health care plans for the 2019-20 plan year.

Please take note that, depending on your residential address, the ActiveCare Select plan may be an HMO and is VERY restrictive with regard to in-network providers.  For example, this plan may NOT cover your dependent child who is attending school outside of your county.  Please verify this information before selecting this plan.

When does the plan year start for changes made during this open enrollment?  September 1 (unless you are a new hire to Blanco ISD whose start date affords earlier coverage options)
